ग्रह शांति संकल्प
Special Sankalp for Doshas in Your Birth Chart
At the 111-Kund Ati Rudra Mahayagya, a Special Sankalp may be offered for these doshas and yogas described in traditional Jyotish:
-
Kaal Sarp Dosha — In traditional Jyotish, Kaal Sarp Dosha is described when all seven planets fall between Rahu and Ketu. It is associated with repeated obstacles, progress that comes late despite effort, unsettled sleep or anxiety, and a feeling of being held back.
---
Tradition recommends the worship of Lord Shiva, Rudrabhishek, the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra and Sarpa Suktam, and a Kaal Sarp Shanti puja on auspicious days such as Nag Panchami or Mahashivratri.
---
Lord Shiva wears the serpent, and Rudra worship is regarded in tradition as the principal remedy for this dosha. A Special Sankalp in your name and gotra joins eleven days of Rudrabhishek, Rudra Japa and ahutis offered by Vedic Acharyas in 111 kunds, worship on a scale rarely possible for one family alone.
-
Pitru Dosha — Pitru Dosha is traditionally linked with an afflicted Sun, or with duties towards the ancestors left unfulfilled. It is associated with delays in marriage or children, recurring family discord, and obstacles that seem to pass from one generation to the next.
---
Tradition recommends Shraddha and Tarpan for the ancestors, a Pitru Shanti puja, recitation of the Pitru Suktam, and feeding Brahmins, cows and those in need.
---
The Mahayagya includes Graha Shanti and Pitru Shanti prayers, and anna seva, gau seva and Brahmin bhojan are counted in tradition among the deeds that bring peace to the ancestors. A Sankalp may be taken in the name of your family line.
-
Mangal Dosha — Mangal (Manglik) Dosha is described when Mars occupies certain houses of the birth chart. It is traditionally associated with delay or friction in marriage, impatience and conflict. It is always judged together with the partner's chart and the factors that balance it.
---
Tradition recommends a Mangal Shanti puja, the worship of Lord Hanuman and the Hanuman Chalisa, fasting on Tuesdays, and giving red lentils or jaggery in charity.
---
In Puranic tradition Mars is born of Lord Shiva, and Rudra worship is regarded as calming its fierce energy. A Special Sankalp for harmony in marriage can be offered in your name during the Rudrabhishek and ahutis of the Mahayagya.
-
Surya Grahan Dosha — Surya Grahan Dosha is described when the Sun is joined by Rahu or Ketu. Tradition associates it with low confidence, strained relations with one's father or with authority, setbacks in reputation or career, and lowered vitality.
---
Tradition recommends offering water to the rising Sun (Arghya), reciting the Aditya Hridayam and the Gayatri Mantra, and a Surya Graha Shanti puja.
---
The Vedic mantras chanted at the Yagyashala, among them the Rudram and the Gayatri, are regarded in tradition as strengthening the Sun's light in the chart. Graha Shanti prayers during the Mahayagya can be offered in your name.
-
Chandra Grahan Dosha — Chandra Grahan Dosha is described when the Moon is joined by Rahu or Ketu. It is traditionally associated with restlessness, anxiety and changing moods, strain in the relationship with one's mother, and difficulty finding peace of mind.
---
Tradition recommends worshipping Lord Shiva on Mondays with abhishek of milk and water, the Chandra mantra and Mahamrityunjaya Japa, and giving white things such as rice or milk in charity.
---
Lord Shiva wears the crescent Moon, and Rudrabhishek is regarded in tradition as the foremost worship for the Moon's peace. A Sankalp for peace of mind joins eleven days of abhishek and japa at the Mahayagya.
-
Angarak Dosha — Angarak Dosha is described when Mars is joined by Rahu. Tradition associates it with anger and impulsive decisions, accidents or injuries, disputes, and sudden trouble with money or property.
---
Tradition recommends an Angarak Shanti puja, the worship of Lord Hanuman and Lord Kartikeya, the Mangal mantra, and restraint in speech and temper.
---
Rudra worship is regarded in tradition as pacifying fiery planetary energy. The ahutis and mantras offered in your name at the Mahayagya are held to cool the combined force of Mars and Rahu.
-
Pap Kartari Dosha — Pap Kartari Yoga is described when a house or planet is hemmed in by malefic planets on both sides. Tradition associates it with feeling constrained, efforts that do not bear fruit, and pressure from circumstances in the areas of life that house governs.
---
Tradition recommends strengthening the affected house or planet through its mantra and charity, a Graha Shanti puja, and regular worship of one's chosen deity.
---
Collective Graha Shanti at the Mahayagya is regarded in tradition as easing the pressure of malefic planets. Your Sankalp names the concern for which the prayers are offered.
-
Guru Chandal Yoga — Guru Chandal Yoga is described when Jupiter is joined by Rahu or Ketu. Tradition associates it with confused judgement, misplaced trust, obstacles in education or with teachers, and a weakening of dharmic direction.
---
Tradition recommends worshipping one's Guru and Lord Vishnu or Lord Shiva, the Guru mantra on Thursdays, respect and service to teachers and elders, and giving yellow things in charity.
---
Serving saints and Vedic Brahmins and receiving their blessings is regarded in tradition as the strongest support for Jupiter. The Sant Samagam and Brahmin seva of the Mahayagya offer exactly that, alongside a Sankalp in your name.
-
Raj Bhang Yoga — Raj Bhang Yoga is traditionally described as a combination that weakens or interrupts otherwise auspicious yogas. It is associated with progress that stops at the final stage, lost positions or opportunities, and reversals after success.
---
Tradition recommends Graha Shanti for the planets involved, the worship of Lord Shiva and Surya, and steady charity and seva.
---
Seva and Sankalp offered at a Mahayagya of this scale are regarded in tradition as deeds of great merit (punya) that support one's own efforts. A Sankalp for success and progress can be offered in your name.
-
Arishta Yoga — Arishta Yoga is the traditional name for combinations indicating difficult periods, often related to health or wellbeing. Its significance depends entirely on the complete chart and should be read by a qualified Jyotishi.
---
Tradition recommends Mahamrityunjaya Japa, Rudra worship and charity, together with care for one's health under proper medical guidance.
---
The Ati Rudra is regarded as the highest form of Rudra worship, and the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is a prayer for protection and wellbeing. A Sankalp for health and long life may be offered; it is a prayer offered in faith and not a substitute for medical care.
-
Shani, Rahu and Ketu afflictions — Periods such as Sade Sati and Shani Dhaiya, or the dashas of Rahu and Ketu, are traditionally associated with delays, heavy responsibilities, sudden changes, confusion and a sense of isolation.
---
Tradition recommends worshipping Shani Dev on Saturdays, the worship of Lord Hanuman and Lord Shiva, the graha mantras concerned, service to the poor and to labourers, and giving black sesame and oil in charity.
---
Lord Shiva is regarded as the guru of Shani, and Rudra worship is traditionally held to soften the difficult phases of these planets. Anna seva and service to those in need at the Mahayagya are among the remedies tradition recommends.
-
Other planetary obstacles — Many other combinations in a birth chart are traditionally associated with obstacles in family life, health, work or peace of mind. Their weight can only be judged from the complete chart.
---
Tradition recommends consulting a qualified Jyotishi, Graha Shanti for the planets concerned, regular worship, and charity suited to the chart.
---
A Special Sankalp can name any concern. From your birth details, the Acharyas can include the appropriate Graha Shanti prayers in the Sankalp offered during the Mahayagya.
The significance of any dosha is judged from the complete birth chart, never from a single planetary combination alone.
